You cannot see anything with pig spotters. My girl had them on her Gixxer. They look great but you cannot see with them without shifting your body.
I consider pig spotters to be nothing more then a way remain within your legal mirror requirements. They are hardly functional riding mirrors.

For legal reasons are the only reason I could see getting them (not that I have actual experience yet) as they don't appear too functional as a few people said. I plan on buying them, but not yet at a price of ~$90.

I'm just guessing here, but I always assumed the pig spotters were for when you are going very fast in "full crouch" position. In full crouch your head would be to low to use oem mirrors. Hence the name "pig spotters"

i have the pig spotters on my bike (03 636) which came with the bike, kinda sleek look but hard to see behind you without moving your arm or adjusting, i never trust mirrors anyways and almost always look behind me

these pig spotters are a complete waste of money ........
as from what i read from you guys ......you cant see much with them on
and you say in the states its a legal requirement to have mirrors......in the uk we dont have to have mirrors on our bikes ......so i dont think they would sell much over here .....more of a look thing over function i think....... |
