one question, i've seen vids and stuff where they say roll on the gas and then slip the clutch....but by the time they slip the clutch they're going almost 40 or above....

is it harder to try learn them slower? i roll on the gas fairly slowly and then when its about 10mph i roll it on harder and slip the clutch at the same time.

i guess i'm just trying to get used to the feelin of it jumping up....i'm not really trying to ride it out at all. should i be rolling it on harder so start with?
when i was learning i did the following:

it seemed more predictable to me if i just got the bike rolling like 10-15mph in first, then i would pull in the clutch and give it a nice rev (with the clutch pulled it). a few revs like that helped me realize how much power the bike is going to give. so on the third rev os so i would slip out the clutch and the bike would come up. i dont know if this helps, but as you practice you'll get a feel for it.

Yes, clutching up is harder on the bike.
It won't last as long as it would if you rode like my grandma.
But hey man, that's life

buy a salvage title bike its cheaper when you wreck and i mean when dont waste money on sprockets you can wheelie a 50cc bike with practice

Just gotta pop that clutch. Get rolling in 1st to lik 6000 then clutch it to about 10 or 1100 then realease and don't forgot to pull. You don't need to pull unless your not reving super high. Easier to balance if you put your feet on the back pegs. But don't try that for awhile untill your very used to the bike. If you rev up to much and don't have your foot to brake the back tire your screwed dude. Guy killed himself when the bike came over and crushed his neck. Use this advice at your own risk. I'm no expert. You shred your bike at your hands.

nice post
i clutch mine in 1st roll on and blip the throttle letting the clutch out it comes up fine,
in 2nd a bit faster then pull in clutch blip throttle more revs and dump clutch up it comes,
if you dont do it all right in timeing then the bike sort of comes up and down straight away and seems if the wheel is spinning.
i have tried bouncing but still learning that, also tried one foot on the rear peg but feels unsettled. so i like to do sit down ones
practise is the best thing so keep it up (so to say) and lets see some pics or vidos even on practise days
