04 636 Stunt Build

So I decided to build another bike because the 13 is too damn nice for me to trash which limits what I can do or try to do.

So I picked this bike up this weekend. I know some people here dislike what we do to the bikes and I totally understand why and respect their opinion. But please know that I am actually putting more money into the parts of this build than what I payed for the bike. So I def am not just trying to trash the bike.

Anyhow a pic of the bike and a list of parts below. I will update this as soon as I start making progress. I have most of the parts already just waiting on my main order from RSC which will bring it all together.

Impaktech Cage
RSC Subcage
RSC Clutch
RSC Exhaust
RSC Clipons
DCP Radiator
R6 Fan
HTMoto Seats
HEL Brake Lines
Radial Front Master
HoHey Big Rotor
Brembo 16x18
StunterX Brake Res
Upper Stay
ESD Rearsets
SI Round Bar
05 Forks
05 Rotors
05 636 Rear Axle
05 636 Sprocket Hub
onpoint engine brace
Gas Tank Graveyard
Stunt Chain/Sprocket
0506 Swingarm
0506 Front Fender

Update.

Pretty much all assembled. Just need to bleed all the brakes and adjust clipons. Also have blockoff plates for the headlights so its not an empty hole.

You move quick. I really want to do the swingarm swap on mine. What is going to support the weight of the nose fairing since you no longer have the headlight assembly and whatnot in there? Or no need to?

Thanks guys.
Its pretty much all done just need to finish bleeding front brakes.
And last thing left is to get the gas tank from the fab guy and get it bondoed and painted to match bike.

@MeanGrnZX6RR - I have a stunt stay which is made out of metal so it wont break but it also supports the upper. I can take a picture for you if you are interested.

Went out and did a first small session on this bike to test it and see how it runs.

Need to clean fuel pump and put in some injection cleaner.
Lower tail a little, I jacked it up way too high.
Install -1 up front
Clean front brake pads because they are not locking right now.

Anyhow, picture of the final assembly.

Looks real good. A lot better than most stunted 03-04 models you see.

I like the workmanship. Seems like you know what you're doing.

One question, on the bars. It looks like the final set you are using are typical of dirt bikes, and quads -- your parts list says something about clip ons. Can you talk about that a bit? I'd like to see some close ups of how that all mounts up.

Thanks for the nice words guys.

Rj - Sure man, here is actually a video I did for the company that I run the clipons from. As you can see they are fully adjustable which allows me to make them be very tall and very wide.

Went out to test bike today. Just playing around with the round bar and seeing how far it is before I start attempting to do no handed scrapes.

Also I cleaned fuel pump and my bike still wont hit redline. I think its either the pump in general that's bad or I will try a throttle body sync. Either way, there is a small issue that needs to be fixed before I can truly enjoy this machine.

It could be one or more bad coils. Use a multimeter to test them (the procedure and specs should be listed in your service manual).

After more testing we think its the throttle bodies. I picked up a backup motor so I will swap throttle bodies and see if that helps.

Anyhow, the last part is almost done and I can call this project complete.

Got news from Graveyard today that the tank is done and will be shipped out tomorrow. Then I will take it to Macco to get painted and I have some kawasaki stickers that I will put on the sides to try to get it to look as oem/clean as possible. (I know its a stunt tank and never will, but I want to make it clean)
