I dunno about angles but that's monderately low and plenty enough to wear q3s to the edge and you can gauge how much space you have for a cage, my rear set was scrapping because I needed to get off the bike more.

I hate the bt21s, good in warm conditions, but a bit cold or even moisture on the road they are like running on soap. There are better battlax tyres though, but well, you get my point.

Never mind chicken strips, as long as you are having fun riding, youve done it right.

You are perfectly right, the bikes maximum lean angle are often a lot more than ours, that was the fun thing about the fz8, i could run it until i felt the bike couldnt cope. With the zx6, its the other way around... Cages, will affect the maximum lean angle, but we will never be there...

Also, most of us who are running on the track have aftermarket rearsets that doesnt fold, so we cannot obtain maximum lean angle, but we can go quite fast anyways.

Hmm dope as hell picture man....thanks for all the help guys....i think ima just do there race rails for now and once i get a little more ballzy on the parkinglot ill switch to a cage.

I commute 95% of the time on my bike so its not abused very often....just had sliders and went down doing like 5mph on a cold misty day on slick asphalt and it scratched up my bike and the slider failed(i was literally slow enough to just hop off and start cussing) so ive lost all faith in frame sliders for the sheer amount of riding i do its bound to happen. I can put 10k a year on easy, needles to say i forget to how to drive a car when its above 50degre

Hey I jus installed the full impaktech cage on my 04 636 and the damn thing vibrates like crazy at 7k rpms. I'm 90% sure I installed it right tho. I have the longer motor mount bolt on the right side and the shorter one with the spacer on the left side and they are torqued to 30ft lbs like Son said. I thought maybe it was the pucks or sliders causing the vibration so I took them off just to see if it was and it still vibrates like crazy in that rpm range. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm really looking into these since I've already went down once on my new bike... only had it 8 days smh. And ive seen sliders fail. So I'm willing to protect my investment and get the impaktech rails (cage seems like too much) and probably powder coat it purple or red.

Any info on these is much appreciated. The only reviews i found on the equipment is from stunters. I dont stunt i just hate having my bike in the shop.

The impaktech rails are amazing. I have done a track day and a shit ton of canyon riding with them. I don't drag knee, but have been told I am really close and the cage still had plenty of room. The only tI'm I even notice them is if I am sitting and a stand still my knees touch them but not bad at all. I highly recommend them. Droppedal my bike hard off a front stand and zero damage to bike just a scuff on the lower puck.

I've had my Impaktech Rails and subcage since day one and I love the way they look on my bike. Definitely don't regret it, especially since i got them matte black with black stickers. They blend in so well it looks amazing with the bike.

Cool thats what i want to hear. I havent knee dragged or anything close to it. Yet i have like a millimeter of chicken strip haha.

So how was the instal? Do you really have to tamper with the rear brake fluid reservoir?

Nice! Hate to say it, but I tipped mine over from 0mph the other day in parking lot. Very minimal scuff damage, took the majority of the fall on my leg (which was so very minor, no injury at all). I ordered the Impaktech cage and will have it Wednesday, which will perfectly cover up the one small scratch on the fairing. Also, I was hesitant about getting just frame sliders, as it has been discussed how with the newer model 636's (mine is a 2015) the part of the frame that the sliders mount to is a weak point. Cant wait to get my cage on. I went with the Kawasaki green on my Matte black bike
