Impaktech race rails YOU Do have to cut the right fairing a bit not sure about the their cages. I took off my Shogun sliders and added race rails as my right fairing was scratched anyways so it didn't hurt much to trim it a little. From what I've heard these are safe for Canyon carving. Sucks not sure why my pictures got rotated

Wow they do stick out quite a bit, past the bar ends. Have to pay attention when lane splitting with these, wouldn't want to get snagged when filtering.

Actually they do NOT stick out further than the Bar Ends it just looks thatway on those pics if anything its about the same length but not longer. I've never had a issue with lane splitting at all. Excuse my messy garage

Yoshimura frame slider... they work. I also have woodcraft rear spools and in the front Shogun axle sliders (best price lol)

Between those I dropped the bike when I had that false neutral and had 0 damage to the bike. Even the slider was barely scuffed up

Yeah, you have to trim a small amount in one spot on the right side for both the race rails and crash cage. It's not bad though, and probably wouldn't be very noticeable if you decided to remove them down the road. I used a sanding drum on a drill, and took my time, removing a little at a time...e-z peezy. I'm no stunter, but I ended up getting the full cage. Just wanted the extra protection.

I knew I should of got the matte finish, those look so much better on the bike then my glossy's.

EDIT: Damn my bike looks dirty, but here's a pic of the material removed. Pretty minimal...

I saw a guy on a GS 1200 Beemer filter past a couple cars and hook his square bag on the side of one car. It was pretty funny ( and sad) when he went down in a hurry. I hate when that happens. Whoops. Sucks to be that guy. Novice. I little thought goes a long way.

I had a full cage on my 04 636. Never had a problem banging corners... scraped my boots and pegs way before the cage. I just got a 15 for x mass. Impaktech was ordered the next day.

I love my rails. They saved my fairings more the once. I haven't crash tested them just whoops in the garage.

I was initially thinking of getting a stunt cage but then i realized i would be more canyon carving with my '15 zx6r . So i went with yoshi frame sliders ... you dont have to cut any of the plastic becasue the engine bolts are not covered by the fairings

I canyon carve as well that's why I went with rails. My legs stick out further then the rails. Never had a clearance issue with them .

I'm in the same boat and decided on race rails from Impaktech. Plan to get them before next season.

FIY, for those who are suggesting simple sliders like Shoguns or Yoshi's, they will not protect the bike much after a certain speed. Frame sliders are almost literally for 5mph drops or when you tip over in your garage or at a light.

I had Shogun sliders on my 2013 Ninja 300 (first one) that I wrecked after encountering a boat load of gravel on a dark road at night. I presume the bike hit the ground at something like 15-20mph after I had scrubbed a little speed. The right side slider completely bent and fairings got destroyed when the bike landed in the grass. They totaled that bike because it looked like it may have tweaked the engine a bit (don't know for sure, adjuster only looked at it for a second and said, "Yep, totaled.")

Here is a pic of my 300 after the crash:

EDIT: Actually, just bought the race rails + subcage and used coupon "CHRISTMAS25" to save $110. Didn't want to miss that deal so ordered them sooner than I planned lol. $110 is $110.

Quick question if anybody has the answer: Will 07-08 race rails fit onto the 13+ models? Got an opportunity to pick up a pair for 1/3 cost of new and I'm curious if it's even worth it

Nice. Hate to say it, but I dropped mine from 0mph the other day in parking lot. Very minimal scuff damage, took the majority of the fall on my leg (which was so very minor, no injury at all). I ordered the Impaktech cage and will have it Wednesday, which will perfectly cover up the one small scratch on the fairing. Also, I was hesitant about getting just frame sliders, as it has been discussed how with the newer model 636's (mine is a 2015) the part of the frame that the sliders mount to is a weak point. Cant wait to get my cage on. I went with the Kawasaki green on my Matte black bike
