What is with all the intolerance here lately? Seriously, this is starting to look like gixxer.com :-p

If he likes to wheelie, all that I ask is that he does it responsibly. Use a closed lot, etc. Just like I expect that every single one of you law abiding citizens does your absolute best to keep it reigned in on public roads. ;-)

I am hardly a beginner, I have been riding for years. Now I am not saying I know everything cause nobody does. However, I do feel that I know enough to be able to learn to wheelie relatively safely.

The title of the thread is meant to reference my experience in doing wheelies not the amount of time i have spent on a bike.

Anybody heard of .wheelieuniversity.com? I've looked into it in recent months. Quick rundown is that professionals teach you how to safely wheelie for $495. Check them out, it is located in San Diego, California. Seems like an alternative and safe way to learn how to wheelie .

I pop the clutch from a standing start at the traffic lights and away I go, causing a lot of frowns and disapproving looks from the car drivers hahaha..

That is actually pretty cool. I have wanted to learn some of those techniques for a long time, I have just never had a bike that I cared so little about to trash it during the learning process.

Plus it would look funny for a grey haired old man learning to stunt :-p

I am envious of the level of control that some of these people have, for sure.

On a whim (and because I just woke up) I actually clicked that link. I got less than 60 seconds and had to shut it off. The dude sounds like a stoned William Shatner.

OP. One of my close friends decided to do wheelies. Out of know where haha. Just something he liked doing and was passionate about. He crashed learning quite a few times. Like anything else, repetition leads to perfection.

I thought these were helpful.

Thanks alex, maybe I'll shoot a couple videos to show progress.

I was going to go out today but it's raining, maybe Monday morning since I go to work that afternoon.
