2009 ZX6R doesn't wanna start anymore out of nowhere

Just to make a long story short; I got a ZX6R I'm trying to stunt. I take off all the fairings and threw them away including the rectifier without knowing. Bike stops turning on, I buy a new battery, same thing happens, I think it's the stator, it wasn't, it was the rectifier. I charged it and used it and started stunting and it was working beautifully till the battery dies. So yesterday I got the rectifier and put it on. Finally the battery is charging at a good pace and it's fine. I drive it to go get gas for the first time since I got it. Put premium. Drive home. I check to see if the fan is running, it does. I turn it off, try turning it on again and now it doesn't even start.

I keep getting the FI error code when it tries to start but other than that it doesn't show. I have NO idea what could have possibly happened! May someone assist me?

I had a similar problem recently where the it appeared the batterie was dead on some days, and fine on other days.. it turned out to be the starter and they way he found out was by tapping on it with a wrench. Try tapping on the starter with a wrench and if it fires up then your starter is going bad. Only suggestion I have.

Check all of your fuses.

Also, pull the FI code and see what it is. It might be your answer right there.

Well.... my guess is your stator is now toast. Pull it off and look for any cooked wires, then test the reg/rec.

I doubt you're getting a code since the engine is not running.

You ran the bike without a RR? Definitely friend the stator. I've been through 4 of them.

interesting. I would have thought the Alternator couldn't produce any current without a R/R to dump it into.... it's not connected to the bike by any other connection AFAIK.

And then I just thought about that, and you have to check the alternator output with it disconnected from the R/R, so it HAS to put something out....

Speaking of which,I just found out my stator is burned on my '09. Luckily,I have a back up stator at my parents' house. My friend who rides an '10 shipped to me his RR which he replaced with a new one this year. My question is,are the RRs for the '09 and '10 model years, identical?
Sorry to hijack this thread although last week my battery died(>8.9V on the Voltmeter, etc.),thought it was the RR,but finally pulled the stator to reveal that it was burnt toast.

P.S. My current RR is the replacement RR from the recall,2-3 years ago.
