Thanks man! Each light bar pumps out 2500 lumens with a 30 degree spot beam so I'll have some crazy good down-road lighting and be able to keep it out of oncoming traffic's eyes.

I would have taken all of those stickers off the tank before putting the tank slider on though.

The issue I ran into, is that there were no dimensions on the tank sliders. So it was a $100 dollar gamble that it would cover the dent like I was hoping and it ended up being that the dent was a touch bigger than the sliders so I used stickers to break up the deformity as a trim, if you will. Like mentioned before I can always bondo and paint or saddle up and bite the bullet on a new/new-used tank later on down the road.

In anticipation for some parts I have coming I Removed the factory upper triple clamp and clip-ons. Super easy, loosen the 4 Allen bolts on triple/clip-ons, then remove the 12mm Allen hex top nut and slide it all up and off. No pictures but the Factory ignition is easy to remove as well. It has the kind of bolts with torque snap-off heads to prevent theft. Just center punch and pilot drill a 1/8" hole, then grab a 3/8"-1/2" drill bit and drill the head off the two bolts. Keyed Ignition drops right off and use vice grips to remove what's left of the bolts in the factory triple clamp.

Underside of factory triple clamps with stainless hex hardware included for when I post them up for sale.

Posted this build in the stunt section for a reason. I'm not making it a track bike. You can go drop $700 on a set of track fairings for your Zx6r it will look good, but it will look just like everyone else's. I'm doing my own thing.

I like your attention to detail, while at the same time being practical. Tank sliders look good and save time. I love the relocation of the rectifier and the new overflow res.

The headlights look cleanly installed; I'm not a fan of the style personally but looks well done for sure.

Looking forward to see what you do with the triple and handlebars.

Thanks for the kind words. This is definitely the newest bike I've ever owned, it kind of fell into my lap, so I'm trying to keep it very neat, clean, & practical. I know a lot of people on here will just say I'm chopping up or ruining the intended purpose on the bike, but for me, I'm making it into a one off styled, simple & practical machine that I'll love to rip. Stay posted I should have more happening next week, Hohey designs triple clamp shipped out today.

2013 ZX6R Fighter Build

Triples should be here tomorrow. Got a couple small things done. Pieced together my own stainless braided brake lines. Bought everything from Summit for ~$100. Half the price of anyone who's selling kits that are bike specific and I don't care about having a fancy colored stainless brake line. Plus since I'm using female dash 3- female dash 3 lines with all 10mm banjo to male dash 3 fittings on the calipers if I ever pinch, rub or need to replace a line in the future I just swap it out for about $15.

It's all Earl's performance -3 AN brake lines 16" for rear/22"fender x-over/32" left caliper to brake master(extended for mx bars) and a half dozen 10mm banjo to -3 AN male fittings in varying degree bends.

Also picked up some eBay special white led lit bar end hand guards. They will be run off the accessory lighting(on when key is on) Added some amber led strips for blinkers. Should get the job done

Front controls are a go. Just gotta mount the speedo, clean up the wiring, bleed the brakes and put the last few pieces together.

Close ups of the handlebar setup

Cluster mount was very simple. Took 2 wood screws, heated them with a torch, bent them to a 90, and grinded the side that sits on the bars flat. Wrapped it in electrical tape, threaded it into the cluster and then hose clamped it to the bars

If it were me, a small white bikini fairing would have to wrap around the headlight......Good job overall.

Seems like a lot of fork leg above that triple?

"There's this adage that we have 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk. Unfortunately with the Internet people have taken this old adage and turned it around. They have two eyes and 10 fingers so they think they need to post 5 times as much as they read. And since they have 10 fingers and one brain, they only have to think 10% of the time! "

Yeah, I might figure something sort of fairing out to cover the cables and ignition. The main thing about the headlights is leaving air flow to the ram air intake port.

That's the way this triple is made. It's designed so you can run your clip ons above the triple clamp
