touring

Hi there my name is stevo and im a newbie to this site.
Was wondering if anyone has used their 6r for touring and what mods anyone has done.
And if you have had the same trouble I've had finding a rear luggage rack.

I'm did an overnight trip with the wife a couple weeks back ... never went more than a couple hundred miles from the house but lots on interesting roads and places. Doing a three night four day trip in the not too distant future. Basically, whatever we can't fit in our backpacks we figure we don't need. So, no bike mods specific to touring.

Backpacks is about the only option.

Drive your bike like there's a drone watching you... You'll survive, get really old and have to give your wife Viagra for Women...

The Kriega 30L isn't a bad option.

i've got some of the cheap, crappy oxford soft pannier bags that velcro together, i just securely fasten then under the seat cowl and they seem fine. Used them a few times without issue.

I use a Kriega R30 and then a tail pack if necessary.

i got the ventura pack rack, zero-gravity touring windshield,
saddleman tech style gel channel seat, then i have saddle bags waterproof dufflebag on the back and a tank bag , i can haul enough gear for my self to go for a week or so long trip, pretty happy, plus on the highway im getting 50 mpg with my bike with the go cruise cruise control system, my super sport 2009 zx6r set up like a touring bike, then back to the ninja for rolling the strips in town

Almost two years, to the day.....

"There's this adage that we have 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk. Unfortunately with the Internet people have taken this old adage and turned it around. They have two eyes and 10 fingers so they think they need to post 5 times as much as they read. And since they have 10 fingers and one brain, they only have to think 10% of the time! "

My wife and I are planning an overnight on the ZX6R. We're not camping, though, so just clothes and toiletries in a backpack.

Never ride faster than you can stop
