IS THIS LEGAL, the fact that im asking then probably not ha

just ordered one of these rear brake lights with integrated indicators.

so basically all i will have is an aftermarket exhaust, custom tail tidy and a single strip light incorporating LED running light brake light and indicators.

So I don't know about...where, I assume, is the UK? but in Toronto..all of Canada as a matter of fact, the requirement is only that you have the turn indicators, your license plate is illuminated ( which is very ambiguous, so my brake light will have to do lol) and the actual brake light assembly is DOT approved. If That light has a DOT strike on it, I don't see why it wouldn't be.
Where did you get that?

A friend of mine had one of these fitted to his CBR600RR a few years back, I'm fairly certain it would not get through the MoT (seem to remember him having to fit the standard indicators once a year for that). Having said that, he never got pulled over for it.

it will fail the mot as its something to do with a certain distance apart of some bullshit like that, the only thing you could do is fit a pair of indicators in the correct place once a year bit of a pain in the ass but its yearly

I've got something similar on my bike here in the US and I believe it's actually not legal where I live based on the distance between the turn indicators...however, nobody actually cares either, so

I've never heard of anyone getting pulled over for this and LOTS of people have illegal lights near me...but that's just me and where I live

same as most of us in the uk ,loud cans lights ect,its just an issue with the mot will not pass, but once a year most of us just swap the lights and cans and number plate to get the ticket then straight home and swap the bits

Where did you get that?

I think in Canada the indicators have to be a certain distance and apart as well technically.

Yep, it's legal.
I had one on a zxr400, zero problems.

Im not sure about MOT, but my local MOT station is very bike friendly. Im sure he would pass it with those on so long as there is an indicator showing.

I don't have these fitted but I never need to remove exhaust (not for road use stamped on it) or any other bits for an MOT and never had a single problem.

They have the attitude of I will just put it on or off of the MOT, so save me the bother.

In a nutshell if you find a friendly test station Im sure they will save you the hassle of taking them on and off each year.

they deffo illegal and will not get through mot,its to do with distance of light from the the tail lamp, what i did with mine was put indicators on on a tail tidy bracket then when i got mot take off indicators,it is against the law but fuck it i take my chances
