Hiya,
Just popped into my head to ask after reading another thread somewhere..
Does anyone else think the side-stand on the 07/08 6R does not lean that much, and sometimes depending on level of ground you stop on, feels a bit unstable ?!
Is there any way to shorten or adjust the sidestand so it leans a little bit more? Or is there a replacement product anywhere ?
Just curious..
Cheers,
Niall

Sorry to hear yours fell!
A couple of times I parked up, popped the stand down and before I've swung off bike, I've just thought...'hmm doesn't feel like its leaning very much, maybe I'll move it to another spot before I get off !!'
Great, thanks for that.. will try to get one of those stands.. half inch sounds like plenty to make a difference!
Cheers

Found it. Do search for JDA Custom Sportbike Products.(ebay) 139.00 USD Stupid PC won't link. The ZZR would probably be cheaper.

when parking by a kerb where the road is cambered I do get a bit worried sometimes....I've been known to spend 10 minutes wheeling it around finding somewhere to put the stand down that I'm comfortable with!

Well,
I took Fritz advice.. (cheers!) and got a zzr one.. fitted it today in about 20 mins (being careful!) and what a difference !
Sitting on the bike, and putting the stand down, then the point at which it touches the ground is noticeably lower than before.. just about 1/2 inch but it makes a huge difference to the stance of the bike. Much more stable and secure looking.
Def. worth doing!
Cheers to all who contributed!
Niall
