Question Paddock Stand / Headstock

Not sure if this is in the correct section but I am after UK company / distributor.

I have a 2002 ZX6R 636 A1P and I'm after some paddock stands or a head-stock stand for the bike to get it off the wheels over the winter and make normal maintenance a lot easier.
just want to see what you guys are using or you have any recommendations? I'm still torn over whether to get front and rear paddocks or a head stock for the front instead?

I've got swing arm bobbins on the rear so i know what i need there but its the front I'm struggling with, whats the big advantages of a head stock?

ive seen these if anyone has any experience of these?

If I could I'd go for more reputable stands(but that's not your question), go for the head stand. You'll end up being able to do more jobs on the bike with a that due to the fact that you can take the forks off and still have the bike off the ground. A fork stand you can do that with.

Cool,

Yeah a better brand would be preferable but the mrs is getting me then for our anniversary and tbh I can't justify more expensive stands at the moment but will upgrade eventually. Just need these so I can do some pre winter maintenance before the bikes locked up for a few months.

Hopefully one of my UK compatriots has used these for a zx6r

i got 2 types,i got the casual one that goes under fork legs witch i use on track days ect but not great when you need to drop the forks out ,the headstock one i think i paid £80 that was from a sealey catalogue, ebay most likely have them, but cover the front mudguard as it can scratch it if your not carefull

In my opinion, definitely go for the headstock stand for the reasons Felix stated. When you do upgrade I would steer you toward a frame lift like a 1jac which is a UK product. The frame lift is amazing, you can move the bike around while on the stand and perform just about any repair/maintenance with it. It was money well spent for me. Check out 1jac.com
