It's no use. I argued with a coworker of mine for damn near an hour just over a month ago about this. Even after arguing about F1 and Moto GP, in the end the guys who have to concentrate for hours straight, and be nearly pulled out of a car after an exhausting race, are not athletes. However guys who stand in the outfield for 4 hours only moving to run to the dugout are the true athletes (and I love baseball, but cmon)

When I was in Italy, every other weekend the town would go quiet, as everyone watched and rooted Scuderia Ferrari during the F1 races. If Schumacher won (as he usually did) the whole town would go nuts (horns honking, fireworks etc). I wish it was like that here.

i must admit i wouldnt live any where else i love the uk to live in just purely for the bike action.....
i do love going to race meeting and seeing the guys blast round the circuits ....so much fun to watch
but the best buzz is road racing for me ....you just cant put a level on how much of a high you get sitting on a bank with no restrictions and guys going past you within a couple of feet at some places close to 200mph.....nothing will and can ever beat that feeling
circuit racers are brave but they havent got anything on road racers
you make a mistake at a circuit you have got a good chance of coming away ....
you make a mistake road racing and you pay the price heavily
this is what i mean .....would you like to be on the bank watching up close and not from 50 to 70 yards away
as to me thats the best place to be right in with the action
