My first MotoVlog ^_^*

Hey Everyone!

Alrightttttttt… SoooOoOoooo I've seen what some people have said and commented on other rider's MotoVlog's, and I'm a bit hesitant to post this since it's my first.

I know I've got a lot to work on. I've been on YouTube for years and I've had multiple channels (this one is my 4th… I think). But I'm new to the whole MotoVlog thing

The video is a bit long, but it's literally my first time doing everything. So I wanted to document all of it so I can re-watch and learn from my mistakes. I filmed the video on Monday (A few days after receiving my Motorcycle license). So it was actually my first time riding out of my neighborhood, first time riding to work, my first time going over 30mph (lol), my first time splitting lanes, first time going onto the freeway, first time trying to rev-match, etc... When I first got my bike I was practicing just doing laps around the park behind my house. So other then that my MSF courses were the only other times I rode.

I made the mistake of filming at 120fps at 4k. So it took almost a day to download both videos and the audio, and 5 days of editing/rendering/processing… Blehhh. I filmed with a GoPro Hero4 Black and GoPro Hero 3+, and for the audio I just used the bluetooth earpiece thing for when I'm driving, and recorded to my iPhone. So it was a pain in the ass lining up both videos from both angles and then lining up the audio with the video. I'm saving up to get the Sena 20s with the GoPro adapter. I had to dummy down the quality since the file was so big and it still exported at 19gb

Any ways… Here it is… :look around:

God lane splitting is some scary stuff! It's illegal here in Maryland but now I see I'm not missing much!

Just a tip try clutch-less shifting....way smoother. Another tip....why not forget v-logging for now?...ride your own ride, ....don't think about showing/recording for anyone right now...at this stage (brand new to riding) savour what it is (being just YOU and the bike)...I just don't get why people film/document what they do...as often as they do, like when/what theyve just eaten, how they feel at any given time of the day, how happy and good or how sad and shitty there relationships are etc etc etc. Riding for me is MY time. Escape all of lifes bullshit! That being said everyone's different and the main thing is your enjoying the bike. Love the bike too by the way

Yeah, it's pretty sketchy :/ it was my first time doing it… But people have been pancaked between cars here cause people don't pay attention. So I'd rather be in-between the lanes versus squished between bumpers. I don't know how people split between cars going 90+ while the cars and trucks are already going 75-80ish… Like I would be in my car with my gf going 80+ in the carpool lane passing cars going 70ish outside the carpool lane and bikes would fly between us

Hmmm, tbh I didn't even know we could do clutch-less shifting. I've seen people doing it, but I thought they had a mod or something ob:

But I agree, I need to chill as far as documenting everything… I've actually blogged/vlogged about everything for forevers… even pre-myspace… all the way back to "livejournal" days back in 1999/2000. And now I work full time for a media and digital company. So now it's all I do… I rode yesterday and today without vlogging and I actually really enjoyed it.

Clutch-less shifting is easy. Tips: only to be performed going up the gears. Most bikes like to be over 4K revs to clutch less shift. Ok so say ur in 2nd and decide to change up to 3rd...as ur about to come off the power put slight pressure on the gear lever (so as u lift of the throttle at the exact time up-shift). This can be done at high revs when thrashing the bike or gentle cruising (again when over 4K revs) and should be seamless and silky smooth. It does not damage or ware the transmission in any way and after a few goes is very easy, give it a go some time.
