friend dropped my bike, need a lil help 2015 30th

My friend dropped my bike the other day and needless to say he isn't much help, and much of a friend. I am trying to locate some parts so I don't have to turn in a 2015 bike with 3k miles on it. Are the 30th Ann. farings the same as a regular zx6r faring, other than color coding? Some of the farings are cracked, and would like to find some easy replacements. I already found a mirror, and it has a small dent in the gas tank, but it looks like a paintless repair shop could help with it. Not much damage, but i got screwed by a so called friend, who is all of the sudden stuck on helping me pay for it.

Live and learn

Any help and advise would be great, thanks alot.

Just out of curiosity could you upload some pics. As far as the fairings there should be no difference other than the color scheme. Its all about how they bolt up, not what they look like. You can check our classifieds section here, but typically were a smaller group of zx guys here so you might have better success over at the kawi forum, or ebay. Sadly, I would be prepared to pay a pretty penny for that. Sell your old ones, someone will buy it, repair it, and use it. Cheers and sorry for your friend being a piece of shit dirtbag!

2013 and up are all the same fairings. Just color differences.

Sorry to hear that. That sucks. Not much of a friend. As has been said, any 2013 or newer fairings will be fine. Keep us updated.

1st rule- nobody rides the bike except me. You can ride it only if you leave a $10,000 deposit. Any takers?

That sucks man. I used to let 2 of my friends ride my old one. Now that my new one is all done and all the modifications have been made, there are only two people who can ride it. Me and my Father. I would say look around the internet. But from previous experiences, unless you really want OEM fairings, go with aftermarket and save your wallet. Do you have any photos of the damage.

Sorry to hear about the "friend". Sadly have heard many others tell of similar experiences. Many folks mean well but when it comes to shelling out $1,000 or more they ditch the friend. Good you found out before the $ were larger. On the other hand I've know racers who thought they caused someone else to crash and actually took the other racers bike back to their shop and repaired it. Now that's doing it right!

Dropped my '14 a while back - was at a total stop at an intersection and a car turned onto my street coming from the right. They went on the right side of me (Birmingham AL not Birmingham England). I jumped off the bike to my left and couldn't catch it and down she went! Damage wasn't too bad but understand why you want to put it back together with good fairings. My lower fairing and the mid fairing part that sticks out (green on my 14) are damaged but not to bad. Looked at Ron Ayers for new fairings, will duo one of these days and sell the slightly dinged fairings for cheap to someone who wants to fix and repaint. I've thought about getting an aftermarket lower and a Kawasaki mid fairing as seems like the lower is not a critical for fitment but it's matt black and could be hard to match. My wife said "why fix it, now your bike's like you, it's got scars"

Just my thoughts, hope it helps.

I own a 30th Anniversary S.E. and can attest to the fact that Kawasaki design schemes rotate around swapping one body part in a colour with another colour. Not hugely creative, but greatly aids in part finding amongst various years.

As an example, I never cared for the mini-mid cowling in black on the 30th SE (the pointy piece), so after a miraculous encounter with Bambi that tore the whole left side cowling off, I swapped both sides out for '14 green pieces.

In the pix you can 'see the cowling better'; I always felt the black corner piece vanished into the black frame. It's not a huge thing, virtually no one notices the difference, but I do. The one obvious difference is the white upped piece & the 30th Anniversary S.E. tags. So virtually all other pieces are interchangeable with other '13+.

Kawi likes to do solid color fairing pieces with decals on top. You'll find that under the stickers, it's all a single color for each part. Get any fairing from a 13+, go to a decent painter and get it painted up, then add the decals later.

Or get a completely new fairing set and sell me the rest of your parts.

That sucks man...I get grief from a bunch of guys I ride with for not "bike swapping" with them. Frankly, there are only maybe 1-2 other bikes I would like to ride. I don't care to ride your Ducati man, I don't care to ride your Triumph Street Triple, I don't care to ride your zx-14, nor do I care to ride your DRZ. I bought this bike, because its the one I wanted, its pretty simple. Good luck finding your parts.

Make that kid pay for it... He damaged it he pays for it... End of story. Bikebandit.com sells all the 30th anniversary OEM fairings. It will cost him quite a bit. The belly fairing alone is over 300 dollars... Kawi OEM fairings aren't cheap. But if he dropped it he would pay for it. That's why i never let anyone on my 30th anniversary edition. I trust no one.
