Anybody around San Diego?

Anybody around San Diego area really good with bikes? Specifically an '05. Seemingly out of nowhere I've developed 2 gremlins that have me at wits end. One is the chain suddenly developing a snag right in the middle of a ride and the other is my cluth won't disengage. I have no idea what caused the clutch issue. It was working fine just the other day and the only thing thats been done to it since then is it was loaded into my truck to take to a buddies to look at which didn't happen so it was then unloaded. Bike wasn't even turned on and it developed the clutch issue. I messed with the dial up by the lever and also the 2 nuts down by the transmission per the service manual with no luck.

I need as much help as I can get with this damn bike. I'm not new to wrenching I'm just new to wrenching on bikes

Sorry, I don't have any spare time to help wrench on a bike.

What do you mean the chain developed a snag? It sounds like you need to check the teeth on both your sprockets as well as the health of your chain.

The other possibility is that what ever is causing your clutch issue is the cause of your chain's snag.

Try to download the shop manual and see if it will help you narrow down your problem. Might as well poke around on your own until someone can offer their help. Good luck!

I ordered a chain and new sprockets for the bike that should be here in the next day or 2. I got the clutch thing figured out sort of. When the bike is on the stand and in first and I pull in the clutch it still forces the tire to spin as if the clutch was let out. Take her off the stand and she does fine.

I went ahead and pulled the sprockets and old chain off the bike to get her ready for her new stuff. Figured I might as well do somethin while I wait for the new parts.

The chain upon deeper inspection had a few areas that were a little rough but nothing to bad and I was told the teeth don't look bad. I'll let some more trained eyes than mine look though haha.
