HELP: removal: main seat and tail light

i know on the tail light there are 2 hex screws, but how do i get to them, do iave to take off the tail section or what? and how does the seat come off?

when i bought the bike my buddy told me that when he saw it he said it had a power commander, maybe its under the seat, but it surely is not under the rear seat, and i just bought a reat tail light with intergrated turns, my buddy has an 05 636, and his turns were more visible than mine as they sit low and no one in a car would think to look that low so the intergrated tails would in my eyes be more visible... HELP PLEASE!!!

The rear seat comes off with the key,the lock is under the rear left side (gear shift side) of the bike. The power commander usually sits under rear seat on this model.

just did it to my buddies 05 and i gotta do it to mine here at somepoint. you gotta remove this black accent piece that runs along the underside of the seat n tank. then you need to un-bolt the seat n take it off. Then take off the rear seat via the key lock located on the shift side of the bike(its under the tail by the passenger peg). After that i believe its 6 screws you have to remove in order to take the tail off. And while your in there take some heavy duty Velcro n put it onto the top of the tailight and the inside of the tail piece. the tailights in this year suck n the flop around in the tail.

great, i recomend you to download the service manual from the file vault on this site, theres a clear explanation on how to remove each part of the fairings and all its little tweaks, hidden pins etc that you may need to know to not hurt your fairings
