if modifying your exhaust is all you did then removing the sec flies want cause the bike to run that much leaner bc these bikes come from the factory rich to avoid warranty issues.

Bump!
Just did the jumper mod, minor improvement at peak rpm with lots of tank slapper happiness on uneven roads at full throttle.
I also cut the plugs off of my stock exhaust servo, $4 worth of resistors and a capacitor and wired up a servo eliminator dongle. No more FI light and a small weight savings by removing the servo/cables... which was immediately countered by adding a GPR steering stabilizer... net gain = Zero!

and the pics shows the splitter in the airbox to remove. I did all the mods on my 03, along with full race zorst, MWR air filter and power commander and got nearly 122hp at the rear wheel with a screaming top end.

I've taken off the flies done the ram air mod.
I'm just on putting it back together.

Not everything that Kawi puts on a bike is a 'restriction'. Getting horspower numbers on a dyno while the bike is not moving through the air is different than the horsepower a bike will make while moving. Those splitters are designed to work with the ram air system. Kawasaki has the resources to test that in ways us regular folks have a more difficult time doing, so removing them is more a gamble than you might think. Kawi doesn't put things in the bike for no reason, in fact they most likely balanced the cost of more intricately designed splitters with the horsepower gain they would provide. You could likely gain more horsepower by extending the splitters to guide the airflow more efficiently to each intake.

the splitter did not feature in the race manual. It was one of the first tthings to remove. In my experience my bike didnt suffer from not having the splitter. Fletch, the splitter is in the top half of your pic of the airbox and divides the air into 4. It is held in place by 2 rivets. To get the screaming top end also change the 2 longer velocity stacks for 2 shorter ones.

As for the stacks I'll do this once I get two small ones, any suggestions where I could get a pair from?
Have you noticed much difference since doing this?
