WOAH! I didn't know you could pull out a 10sec 1/4 at 12mph like the '01...

Honestly ... those QTR mile times are bullshit.

no way a stock 600 bike can pull low 10's.

Low 11 ... high 10 maybe.

the current Australian record for a stock 600( GSXR ) is 10.25 sec and that is lowered.I know of a guy on a 04 636 cc with minimal mods ( power commander slip on Akro, filter and down 1 tooth on the sprocket ) stock height his best is 10.90 secs

cheers 63SIX

You gotta think about it mate. These 1/4 times could be on normal bitumen or Kawasaki's test facility.Where as at a regular drag strip.....well there can be a fair bit of wheel spin on street tyres.

4 wheels is only for more than 1 passenger!

Most people that talk " QTR mile times " refer to them on a drag strip.Any
proper time is always measured on a drag strip.A drag strip definately has more grip than a bituman road.

So..... can somebody show me proof of a stock 05 636cc running 10.38 sec ......

I won't hold my breath

cheers 63SIX

Mate I used to crew on drag bike team.We ran "drag slicks" because street tyres don't cut it.

4 wheels is only for more than 1 passenger!

actually the R6 and ZX6R of 05, i believe-maybe 06, both ran 9.99 or better when tested by SportRider Mag. they only lowered them and installed a one tooth smaller sproket.

i know this is not "stock", but the test was to show that they could do it with "common" and "simple" mods.

It doesn't have to be the right tool; Just one that works.

Who needs a Liter bike? This was back in 2000.

"Riding a Team Green Kawasaki ZX-6R, Schnitz took three wins off six number one qualifying efforts in the hotly contested class. He was the first to bring a 600 down the quarter mile in under ten seconds and eventually established the elapsed time national record at 9.792 seconds."

I Ride: 01 ZX6R soon
MR 63SIX, With a good rider those times are very possible. There is a guy that runs at my local track with his STOCK 06-07 GSXR600 and he runs very consistant 5.90s-6.00s in the 1/8th mile. He is a pro at it. He runs the stock class.

In response to the dyno runs with an 07.
I had my 07 dyno'd two weeks ago at Wheeler's 129 Performance in NC,which is near Deals Gap "The Dragon"
I don't have a scanner or I would post the sheets up on it, but it did 102.91 hp and 42.25 ftlbs of torque and 159.8mph at the start of the rev limiter. All I have done is the Jumper Mod. My bike was broke in properly, and had just a hair over 4600 miles on it. I don't ride hard, first bike, still getting used to it.
It was raining that day and cold. Maybe on a dry day it could have generated better numbers.

I Ride: 09 Ninja ZX-6R. LOVE IT!
I doubt anyone here will have any numbers on it, but I have to ask cause its what I want to get...

any data on the 2009 yet? The supposedly raised the peak hp figures and the midrange is supposed to be nice and fat...according to Kawasaki's web site, it makes 49.1 tq @ 11,800. That's quite impressive, but I'd love to hear hp numbers and see a dyno chart.

So if you just bought a 2009 if your DUTY to get it dyno-ed and report back to us!
