There just something about buells that I really don't like.

Took the front fairing stay and subframe off a Firebolt for that one as well as the top triple clamp and clip ons. The fairings surprisingly did NOT hit the front tire. There was such minimal clearance but I never once saw a scratch on the lower belly pan. Weird! Bike was problematic though...like most Buells. Had a ton of electrical problems.

Makes corner entry and exit a breeze. I HATE all their electrical and mechanical problems though!! My XB12R was fussy. She would run on ONE cylinder whenever the bike got wet and the header kept breaking off the block. The full fairing XB9 was a brat as well because it would misfire a lot and I never got the tuning on the ECU correct to match with the aftermarket exhaust. The 1125r is a beast though!!!

I will play, I love to pic-whore my bikes...
Current bike, work in progress. I have a whole thread about this one.
Last bike, all put back to stock and for sale. I did all the work myself including the paint job. Started out stock, then went to this.
Then race fairings, looked like this for a few months... It was a metallic white, but hard to tell.
Then the real paint job to look like this. Now back to stock.
My first track bike, when the 10 was originally stock, then sold it and modded the 10 for the track.
My first dirt bike, 2000 KX 250.
Traded it for this, 06 CRF 450. Got it like this,
Then made it into this.
Then sold it and got this 09 KX 450F. |

Woooowww!!! Nice pics. Those zx's are gorgeous!!! What race fairings do you have on the 636? I'm looking into Piteck fairings or HotBodies. I plan to track it out but make a custom bracket to mount a foglight up front and use a universal integrated taillight for the occasional spirited ride in the hill country so I won't get pulled over.

It's sad that none of my riding buddies down here are really into going to the track or even pushing their bikes to their limits in terms of lean angle. I feel sooooo alone The only upside is that I can outride pretty much anyone down here hahaha. The 1000's may take me on straights but I always let out a laugh when they slow waaaaayyyyy down on a tight turn |

I had Pit-Eck on the 10R, and while I was lucky in that they fit perfect, I will never buy them again as they are not hand laid fiberglass but chopper gun fiberglass. Basically if you crash them, they shatter instead of being fixable (I never crashed them but I have done enough with fiberglass to know how it will react). I have heard nothing but bad stuff about hot bodies, but have heard good things about rockwall bodywork, and it is woven mat glass. On my 10R I used the stock tail light/under tail and mounted a Piaa fog light to the bottom of my mirror and rode the street that way. I am likely done with the street though.
What part of TX are you in? Check out WFOriders.com and ridesmart.info for track days.

Yeah, I'm looking at doing a trackday with Ridesmart really, really soon! Can't wait!! I'm likely spending all of my income tax return on goodies for my 636 and some new tires for the track. I'd like to slowly wean myself off the street.
I've also been looking into membership at Harris Hill in San Marcos but they typically have trackdays during the week and it's damn near impossible for me to miss a day at work. |

loooooveee the RC-51! i've always wanted one.
can't say the same for the Harley-Davidson affiliated Buells. i like what Erik Buell has done now that he strayed away from H-D. the 1190rs is a beeauuutiful machine.
