Black always looks good... allot of the newer bikes use a mixture of gloss and matte black (not flat). Your paint guy will paint the entire bike black, then use a gloss clearcoat on some parts and a matte clearcoat on other parts. The matte can be achieved by mixing in a reducer.

This picture of mine shows black with the clear reduced to approx 60% to create a nice looking matte black.

On this bike, I had the clear reduced to approx. 75% - it was a little to shiny creating a plastic look.
