I finally have some time to spend working on my bike before spring comes around. It was dropped by the previous owner, so I'm taking the plastics off to fix some scratches, and I want to do a color change.
These are the colors I've been considering, and I'm leaning towards the white because of visibility and the fact that you don't see too many white bikes around. Wanted to get people's opinions on these colors or other color suggestions.
I'll start it off with a pic of my bike I guess. Examples of colors I've thought about are below. If there's any other suggestions, throw them out there, with an example if possible
My bike:
White. Like this one, but without the black at the bottom. The plastics would be all white
Flat black. Like this, but my frame is already black.
Gunmetal. Again, my frame, swingarm, etc are flat black. |

I think flat black looks cheap, gun metal is pretty cool, but like you said, does not go well with black frame. I do not like. I prefer brighter colors that get peoples attention because I do not want someone to not notice me and sideswipe me.

I like the white because it's different than most of the bikes you see. The more I look at it, the more I agree that the flat black looks cheap. I'm looking mostly for something that's not too commmon, without having to repaint the frame

What's easier to get a good finish with? Gloss or matte?

Mate, it's your bike...... get it done how ever you want it... at the end of the day you can go around asking for as many opinions as you want.... but your the one that has to ride the dam thing not us.....
you have to decide... then get it done... then post the pics and shut the haters up :-)

Not matte black looks cheap. I would say find a car color that you like then match it to that.

I guess suggestions would have been a better word to use in place of opinions. I suppose I was looking more for suggestions of colors other than the 3 that I had been considering.
I'm 95% settled on white. Now I'm wondering which is more likely to show imperfections... matte or gloss?

From what I understand, you can get matte clear coat so it protects the paint, but doesn't give a gloss finish
