Well, I'll just add that if your passenger (guy or girl) isn't wearing gloves, make DAMN sure they take their rings off if they are wearing any. You do not want those scratches on your tank!!
I also instructed my wife to try leaning backwards at about a 20 degree angle when I'm on the brakes and it helped her not even have to put her hands on the tank. She said she could feel her core having to work, but it helps counter the g forces...
