Lowsided the 6 today

Came out from under me at 25 mph or so. Upon review, my rear tire had oil on it from last nights oil change of my cage.

Right side fairings toasted. Front cowl cracked. Gas tank hit the curb and my right side sets are broken in half.

Was gonna ask if you had frame sliders and if they helped at all to prevent any damage....but guess not.

I'm fine, the egos a little bruised.

I guess you can say what everyone says holds true.

There are two types of riders : ones that have been down and ones that are going down.

I've been blessed to ride almost daily for 3 years and never even drop my bike.

I guess it could have been worse.

Did you have any injury? What protective gear were you wearing? How well did it hold up?

Yep. Still lowered. Needless to say I wasn't hitting the turns hard since I can't really get the bike down.

Helmet, Joe Rocket Jeans, Joe Rocket textile jacket, Alpinestars Boots.

Knees are still scraped up......that's it.

I always ride in gear because you never know when shit like this will happen.

I dunno, this might make me quit riding all together.

Do you think the fairings could be repainted despite heavy scratches? No cracks on the sides, only the cowl and obviously the tank.
