I'd be down for some exhaust that a random guy made with pipe and has no Dyno to say anything. I just want something that sounds better then stock but I don't wanna pay $1,000

A slip on will be less than a $1,000 for the most part.

I found an 09 muzzy side exhaust on ebay for 290. I originally cut the stock header after the cat and pre installed to see how it would fit and it was perfect. only problem is I dont know how to weld and i couldnt find a local welder. so i bought 09 stock headers new for $50 and used the clamp that comes with it. fits perfect, and from my understanding the cat is inside the header.

So I skimmed through all 12 pages so sorry if this has already been covered, but for several reasons I'm basically wanting to get rid of my Two Brothers (and sell it) and want to do two things:
#1 - No more undertail exhaust so either some shorty dump, or a small can that doesn't stick out far enough to get crushed if I drop the bike (I have a stunt cage if that matters). Custom ideas welcomed.
#2 - Purposely QUIET as possible. Even more quiet than stock.

Slipped the stock muffler off and had a local dude build me a custom one from some piping. 2" all the way back to a 2.5" ovaled tip. Finished it off with some Rustoleum High Heat flat black and it looks and sounds great! Passenger seat doesn't get even close to being as hot as with the stock muffler and I removed that big metal heat shield. Cost =$80 including paint.

Does anyone know the diameter of the piping between the end of the headers and the premuffler chamber? I'm thinking of cutting off the premuffler chamber and clamping a custom exhaust of some sort onto the headers.

Thanks Quarkz, this is the exact thread I was hoping to find. I'm getting ready to pick out the exhaust for my 07 ZX6R and this photo thread helped alot. I want the loudest, deep tone, carbon fiber or black, exhaust that I can find. People have been telling me to go with Two Bros so I guess I'm leaning that way. Have you seen any dual canister designs from any company for the '07, other than the Pinebox shown??
