Anybody try plasti dip?

As the title state has anyone tried plasti dipping their bike? How does it work? A friend brought this product to my attention for doing his rims and I figured hey maybe throw some on the bike and change the color just for shits and giggles

I believe there are several threads about this already, if I remember right it was decided that it would not last on the tank and other places due to excessive rubbing. I can't really remember, just do a quick search if you don't get the response you are looking for.

my friend plastidipped his wheels on his gsxr. turned out pretty decent. not as good as powder coating obviously, but that way you could experiment with different colors for cheap. or just use photoshop.

wouldn't that really add alot of unsprung weight to the bike?

I never plastidipped anything, but it sounds like it would be heavy.

From what I have seen its pretty light. Nothing you would really notice.

+1

The only thing is that it will come off if it is rubbed enough, therefore I would not put it on the gas tank.
