Cool pirelli diablo tires

I've run dunlop 208s for a while for street use and now I'm thinking of getting Pirelli diablo's for the street. I don't do track days so I'm looking for something that has good mileage and can bear any weather conditions mostly dry, Any feedback on these tires?

personaly, if you want an all weather tire.
id do the pilot roads or the pilot roads 2.

they are suppose to be an awesome wet weather tire and will get great distance on a pair.

i have the pilot roads for around town.
i like them alot.
and ive heard nothing but great things about the pilot road 2.

but the pirelli diablo are badass too.

its just, there alittle more sticky.
so you'll pick up little rocks in your tire around town and throw them at people behind you.
haha

Thanks Scabbs, I'll find out if the shop I go to has the pilots. Price was another reason for the suggestion by the owner, it was 275.00 for the pair mounted, balanced and installed on the bike etc. I thought it was a great price considering the dunlops, metzlers.

Always consider the worst thing a driver in a cage can do to you while riding. You'll live another day to ride.

yeah the powerpilots, espescially the dual compound tires are worth every cent. i have ran both the pp's and diablo's and when cornering fairly hard, the pp's give a more solid feel to the grip

Yeah Michelin power pilots ct2's are fantastic street tires and you could do a track day on them too.

ahem, pilot powers?

if you don't do trackdays and want to longer lasting tire, i'd go for the roads

+1 on that, road tyres are better gripping and more responsive for the majority of road riders, we just don't generate the levels of heat that you do on a track. Go for road tyres mate.

You're the first and only person I've heard say something good about the Diablos. I haven't tried them but I've heard way more good things about the Pilot Powers than I have the Diablos.

Well its the new Rosso's that I installed on my bike. Not the corsa III's that I believe most everyone is referring to on this site. On other forums there are riders that wouldnt have anything but Pirelli's on their bike...but if a rider has a bad experience with one tire, one time then their opinion of that tire company is going to be shitty. It pretty much goes for any part and is regardless of human error....because that would never happen right? "hell, its the tires fault"...

anyhow I like my Pirelli's...If you took heed to what everyone on this forum says about tires and everyone on the other kawasaki forums and streetbike forums you probably would find that each forum has a group of riders that swear by certain tires and despise certain brands too...after taking the advice from 4 or more forum topics about tires I guess you'd just have to ride on your rims...
OR
buy whatever the hell kinda tire you want... ride it to its limits and make up your own opinion about it and know for yourself if you like it...a lot of times you have to take what you read on these forums with "a grain a salt"...
