awwwww, nobody wants to take a stab at it, or at least call me a goober for implying that my old bike rev'd to 15,600. I already ran the numbers years ago, i was just curious what someone else thought. really i thought someone would write that there is no way a bike would over rev at such a high speed, so why would i care. anywho, years ago my old zx6r did this, i dont know why or how, but it did. I looked down and and for a brief moment one needle was just a tick past the 15.5k mark and the speedo needle was dipped way into the digital clock(at it's physical limit). So, I went home and did the math and came up with an approx. of 176mph, could this be? is this right? could a 600 really do 176mph? was my tach off? was my clutch slipping? i dont think so, after all, the speedo corresponded with the tach (considering the gear changes).
So, i guess my question is really this; can a 600cc really produce 170+mph speeds? real speed, not indicated.

This years r6 will do 170, first 600 to do it as well. As stock anyway i think.

is there an actual test that confirms that? i dont doubt that a 600 could do it, just not sure about complete stock form. the r6 is a top end bad-ass machine this year.
