Hey, Sorry for the dumb post but I thought I would ask you guys instead of spending more money then I need too.
As some of you may know I'm working on bringing my 98 ZX6R back to life. I need to replace the lower triple tree. To do this I plan on using jack stands on the frame sliders. Problem is she does not currently have frame sliders. After looking on ebay I can get some for about $45 or so, however this is just me making sure the title says something like: 98 zx6r frame sliders, ect.

I wanted to get your guys opinion on how to go about this, or if you guys had a better idea for raising the front up. I don't have the option of attaching it to anything above the bike. I can get a floor jack but wouldn't trust it for too long as I might need to work on the project over a day or two.

Can anyone shoot me a link for some cheap frame sliders that would work for my bike?

Thanks, sorry for the long ass post, just thought I'd be as detailed as possible.

When I was replacing my forks I used a car jack with a piece of wood on it to jack up the bike from the headers and then put a jack stand on each outside header:O

Probably wasn't the best idea but I needed to keep the front end up for a couple days

I wasn't too sure on it either but my friend told me his manual told him the jack point for his bike is his headers so I guess they're strong enough.

Plus if they bent it would give me a reason to go full exhaust :devious
