Corbin Seat ZX-6R (2013)

I am planning on taking my 2013 ZX-6R from San Francisco - Tahoe - Yosemite and home but know the butt pain will be too much for me.
I am thinking of taking my bike down to Corbin in Hollister for a custom seat;
My question is: Are they really all they're cracked up to be? Are they really that great?
Anyone have experience with these seats?

Thanks

I haven't installed one on this bike, but I put one on my last bike and my dad put one on his Suzuki Boulevard cruiser. Night and day difference, worth every penny.

Agreed, a buddy has one on his Gsxr, they're fantastic. If you've got the funds, look into a pair of adjustable rear-sets. Tailor them to your body and it'll help tremendously, too.

They ARE all they are cracked up to be. Problem is they are NOT AVAILABLE for the 2013 ZX-6R yet. I've spoken w/ them several times as I live close enough to go there and get a custom fit. It will be some time before they are available as well because for them to design a seat someone has to LOAN them their bike for up to 6 WEEKS. You get a free seat...but I can't do that.

Odd, I called Corbin today and they were pretty confident that the 12 would fit perfectly?
Will have to do some more investigating before I ride the 130 miles down there.

Hmm...they never mentioned the 2012 as an option and I didn't ask. I will tomorrow. I'd drive down there to find out for sure.

I'm glad I read this thread first because I almost ordered a Zero Gravity seat. They look pretty good btw at a decent price.

What if two people with a '12 & a '13 swapped rider seats to see if they fit the same? If they were in a state where it snows that six week loan period wouldn't be so bad for a free seat.

1991 Ninja 500 - Sold
2008 ZZR600 - Totaled
2012 ZX6R - Updating...........
