Ladies and gentlemen I am pleased to announce that Bennett636 aka "me" is back on two wheels. I've been a member here for quite a while now and most of you know me and remember my blue baby that was taken out by a tree that had fell across the road. You can see that here: Bad crash last night. But I'm alive - ZX6R Forum

Today I picked up a 2005 magma red zx6r with only 9200 miles on it! This thing is mint with only a couple blemishes that come with the age of the bike. The guy I bought it from was the original owner and everything on the bike is stock, except for the red windscreen. It will need new tires as they are the originals as well. I'll make this my build thread and post pics along the way as i go. I'll be putting a muzzy exhaust on it, steel braided brake lines, and some powder coating. I'm gonna go for a Black and red theme.

Here she is. Ill post better pics tomorrow

I had a muzzy on my old 05. I loved the sound. Not too loud, not too quiet. Had a very good tone.

Exhaust will be here today! Whoop whoop!!!

Got the exhaust installed Thursday. It sounds amazing. And today I did a throttle body sync, they were really out if wack.

Vice grips didn't work. I guess I'll try the screwdriver method next

Screwdriver method always works ....

Yep I got it off with the screwdriver. Thankfully the drain plug wasn't over tightened.

Finally got a chance to take the bike out today and snap a few pics of how she is coming along.

I recently added some red progrips, I wired up a manual fan switch for these hot florida summers, and I put some red rim tape on the rims. And of course the muzzys exhaust.

Next will be ss brake lines, a pc3, and a dyno tune for my full headers

I got my full headers installed today and got muzzys to send me a tune for my pc3.

Got my core moto ss lines put on today. Here's some photos of the install.

The brake line mount that comes with the lines was a little awkward to use

So I just used the stock mount from my oem lines, it worked very well

Bleeding the lines wasn't hard, it was just a little time consuming. The better braking performance is very noticeable.

If anyone has a right side rear set, I need one.

Finally got around to getting my rearsets powdercoated. The gloss black came out really nice

Got some goodies In the mail today, and to my surprise the front sprocket nut came off as easy as it could have been. After reading everyones horror stories I figured it would be hard to get off.
