a supercharger is great, but even centrifugal superchargers have pretty bad loss when it comes to power they make vs steal, turbo's are much more efficient and with as fast as our bikes pick up rpms, lack would be almost a non issue.

It will have Variable gearing to minimize parasitic loss.

I'll check back when the announce more than a motorshow sort of concept bike. If this is just going to be shown the end of this year, you "might" hopefully see a production bike in 2016 or 2017. IF they get the green light to move towards a production bike. There is a strong likely hood that this will never be more than a concept bike to make people drool at the shows.

Having said that, if this ever makes it to production, sign me up for one. I've looked at Triumph 675's and Suzuki GSXR 750's a few times as replacements for the ZX6. I'd love to have a bigger displacement bike that is similar in size and weight to a 600.

The advantage Kawasaki has over other Motorcycle companies is they can design and build unique parts in house to reduce costs.

To minimize losses they would likely have to limit rpms a good bit. Not that that's a bad thing. When you've got boost you don't need rpms lol, though you do need beefy internals. No reason this thing couldn't be a 200hp 750 that red lines at 10,000 rpms.

Kawi, Yam, and Honda had turbos back in the 80's. I believe the Kawi was a version of the GPz750 and Honda used the CX500 or 650. A friend of mine has the CX in his collection. He hasn't ridden it in years.

Suzuki as well with the Seca Turbo. I remember people used to say the Gpz740 Turbo would gain boost mid corner and cause the rider to crash. (probably just urban legends)

So what exactly is that chirping noise in the video.. And before you say supercharger, don't say supercharger. Explain it in a bit more fuller detail please!

Supercharger would work like NA engines. That bike will be crazy and will respond very well to mods. No more spending $1500 and gain only 10hp. lol
