final price on 2013 zx6r with abs

Some of you may have seen my previous post about 2 2013 zx6rs. I was able to get the dealer to go from $9699 plus fees down to $8999 plus fees for a 2013 zx6r with abs brand new. So that plus the $345 freight charge and taxes and fees I'm looking at $10,257 out the door and they will give me $3750 for my ninja 300 so total I'd be looking at $6207 difference. Which I could afford to pay outright of go thru the bank for a 2.9% loan.

What do you all think about that price?
I also looked on cycle trader and $8999 is the cheapest 2013 zx6r I could find 500 miles from me

Honestly, that's not too bad but I would hardball and say $10K even and not a penny more. Walk and they will call you back. If not, don't worry, another bike is around the corner but if you are one who regrets things easily, pony it up and get it. It's a very good deal.

When I was looking back in February here in WI (different area, location, etc), I found a 2013 non-ABS were going for $8,450 Otd while most dealerships wanted about $9K OTD. I also found 1 2013 w/ABS here in WI and the dealer price was $9399 but said he would do an OTD price of $9800. Right now, those deals are gone and bikes here can't be had for that price. The left over '13s are $8.4-8.8K and the ABS are going for $9.5-$10K, that's not the OTD price.

-Servo Buddy, Fender Eliminator
-Smoked LED Integrated Tail Lights w/Sequential Turn Signals

Sounds o.k, not great.. They are giving you a good amount for your trade in, which means they are probably offsetting that by keeping the zx6r price a bit high.

I would sell the 300 privately, you'll probably get 3900-4400. You should be able to find your bike for under 10k OTD.

Having said all this, it is the beginning of riding season, so prices might be a tad bit higher. Just make sure you shop around and make sure you are absolutely getting the best deal.

Do we need another thread about this?

Its overpriced, but you live in a place where anything from pizza to cigarettes are overpriced. WTF do you expect?

10,200 is a good price for that bike, the fact that they are giving you more than what your ninjette is worth makes it even more apparent that they are trying to get the deal done.

I think this is a great deal. That 300 is not worth $3700. The OP bought it for less than that, right now those are going for $3300-$3500 in his area. Private party, $3500 at best.

Yes, for future references, keep the same thread. No need to clog it up by making more threads about the same two bikes. Just a friendly FYI.

Considering he is talking about an ABS bike, its a good deal.

Could he find a better deal at a higher volume dealer? Possibly.

I paid 10,700 OTD almost 2 years ago for the same bike at one of the highest volume dealers on the east coast. It's a good deal.

Yeah, it's decent, just not great.

I'm in relatively the same location as the OP, so same market.

A 300 abs in great condition around here around are going for 3700-4500 on craigslist currently.

Waking into the dealer with cash will always get you a better deal than with a trade. An extra $300 in your pocket is a nice chunk.

No it won't here at dealerships we get kick backs from financing we will say cash or finance does not affect the price but we are willing to take a little bigger loss on the bike if we have a chance to make some money on the back end through finance department

i meant trading in a bike vs selling in privately. Not full cash purchase vs financing.

Dealers tend to leverage the trade in my experience. Either the trade in value is jacked up and the item price is higher, or the trade is lowballed, and the item price is lower.

I don't think it's a bad deal, you can always ask for them to throw in some "service" coupons or some gear. I've only purchased one bike long time ago from a dealer, and asked for a helmet and gloves as part of the deal once I felt they wouldn't budge on price anymore. Might seem nit picky, but hey....free helmet/gloves were worth the 5 seconds it took to ask.
