Incorrect. It's the other way around.

Shorter = more power in higher RPMs
Longer = more power in lower RPMs

there is way more choice,
most off the makers claim more top end power but not really a loss in low and mid so good for all. most are dyno't with a 600 not the 636
maybe a little loss in mid power, the dyno is from the carbon ones

also everybody calls em different
velocity stacks
air funnels
intake funnel
airboxkit
and then you got italy france deutschland, they also call it not in english but they to have brands that make them

I know someone also said that this was the best bang for your buck. But at the same token, I don't race(yet) so IMO it doesn't seem work the time ATM.

Correct. Unless you are racing it is very likely that you will not notice any difference at all.

Sorry to split hares (rabbits - and yes, that's a pun) but what about track days? Some of us don't care to race but want to perfect our riding.

A play on words, or words on play
Last chapter, verse in the final act
Words well scripted, each sentence choking
Inaudible gag, blanket which suffocates
As you eat another's words
Malnourished, you starve.

This won't perfect your riding. This is meant to give you those extra 0.2-0.3 seconds per lap that might help a racer go from 2nd to 1st, or from 5th to 4th, etc. Do you really care about that as a track day guy? If you want more power, do some engine work on your bike and you can get a lot more power that way than swapping stacks. For a track bike, the sky's the limit. For a race bike, you have to conform to rules. Changing stacks is a way to give you a tiny bit more power up in the rev range while still being legal for pretty much all classes. Changing engine internals will be more beneficial but against the rules of certain classes.

2007 ZZR600 (sold)
2006 CBR600 (sold)
2010 1198 (parted out across North America)
2013 CBR500R (sold)
2009 ZX6R (race bike)
2015 R3 (project bike and future race bike)

Sponsors: Vortex Racing, MSM, MTR Cycle
