I Ride: 2017 636 KRT Performance Edition
Back from the Dead!

Hey all,

Been a long time since I posted.
For those who don't know me i'm Steve (duh) and I used to have a 2011 ZX6R.
Traded it for a W800 in 2014 (I know what you are thinking) for a couple of European trips.

Now after a small absence I have returned!

Just paid my deposit and will pick up my new 636 KRT Performance Edition next week!

Excited I must say!
I'm going to stroll through the forum to see if their is any technical issues people have discovered.
I'm looking for a tail tidy and a set of frame sliders (preferably no cuts).

Anyways, hello again and i'll post picks up once I have her collected

Welcome back....... you know you can't make a travel report without pictures.....

"Basic stuff fellas. Use your head for something other than to break your next fall."

"There's this adage that we have 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk. Unfortunately with the Internet people have taken this old adage and turned it around. They have two eyes and 10 fingers so they think they need to post 5 times as much as they read. And since they have 10 fingers and one brain, they only have to think 10% of the time! "

Yeah, start up a thread about your trip across the countryside, and post ALL THE PICTURES!

OK lets start back at the beginning.

I've changed the ZX6R for a W800.

I did a small European Trip which you can catch here:

My Small Euro Trip on the W800

My second trip was a little bigger.

I traveled the following route;
Scotland
England
Spain
French Riviera
Monaco
Italy
Switzerland
France
Belgium
Holland
Scotland

here is some pics for your entertainment:

I was then visited by 2 friends from over the pond from a little place called Ohio
one is fellow forum member EvilTwin.
We all went to the Isle Of Man for the TT!

Since then I have been dying to get on a ninja again.

Say hello to my new ZX6R!

sounds great with the Akra Exhaust. Just need to get some miles done on her before properly opening her up

Nah, go ahead and open her up! It's really best to break them in hard. This is how I do it: Break In Secrets--How To Break In New Motorcycle and Car Engines For More Power

Does any one else break in the bike by riding hard and revving higher?

Yes. With today's engines, better materials, and closer machining tolerances it is not like it was years ago.

I didn't when I bought my gsxr, but I really wish I had. Not that there's anything I've noticed but my research pointed me in the beat it for 50 miles then change the oil direction.
