I Ride: 2015 ZX-6R
Just joined the 636 club

So after 3 years of riding a 2013 Ninja 300 I decided it was time to trade up.

I managed to find a 2015 636 With 0 miles on it for 9k out the door and jumped at the chance.

So far I'm loving the bike. It just seems to be perfect in every way. I love the weight and power. Also I'm suprises with how comfortable it actually is for me. Looking forward to modding this bike now

Just a few pics for now. Also a pic of my 300 before I traded it.

Welcome and congrats! That sounds like a steal!

Any ideas what you're looking to mod first?

Welcome and congrats on the new bike. Seems like Georgia is a good place to buy a motorcycle at a good price. Picked up my 2014 in Albany about a year ago, my CBR came from McDonough GA. Added an Ohlins steering damper over the weekend, defiantly made a difference, have had it shake it's head a little bit a few times - look for the steering damper thread and send the fella a PM for a price.

Congrats on the great find, nice looking bike. how'd you compare the riding comfort/position from the 300 to 6R?

Welcome to the forum.

Might seem odd, but check the brake fluid color. If it's not clear change it out.
2 years is the time it needs to be done.

Might as well keep all the service up to date.

The 300 is extremely upright in its riding position. Personally I don't find the 636 to be uncomfortable but it's way more aggressive. I'm about 5 foot 10 and I sit rather comfortably on it.

The 636 reminds me of the 300 a lot. I feel like it's a logical step up. Yeah it's got a lot of power but it is very confidence inspiring and isn't much heavier.

And I will definitely check the brake fluid in the morning.

That sounds very similar to the way I felt when I went from my 2008 250R to my 2009 ZX-6R.
