Olson Exhaust Review, 2013+ ZX6R

I've been looking to get an aftermarket slip-on for some time now and was looking for something unique, light/ space saving (deleting that huge prechamber attached between the shock and rear wheel)

Found Olson Exhausts and I'm expecting to receive it sometime during the week. I loved the tone that I heard from their video examples. Install/ pics and video coming once received. They're making an extra quiet baffle insert for track db restrictions.

In the meantime here is what I expect:

Always good to have another option for a can.... what sound level do they claim?

"There's this adage that we have 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk. Unfortunately with the Internet people have taken this old adage and turned it around. They have two eyes and 10 fingers so they think they need to post 5 times as much as they read. And since they have 10 fingers and one brain, they only have to think 10% of the time! "

Not sure yet but I'll try to get a sound meter for measurement. I'm guessing it's going to have similar levels to that of the m4 gp can with a stage 2 baffle (closed baffle).

If you live in a built up area, or in an area with aggressive LEOs who have a Nazi Storm Trooper zest for policing noise laws, you'll cherish an effective dB-killer. I was really amazed at how a very simple but effective device makes my Yosh R-77 much more neighbour friendly.

Wow, that sounds nice!

Looks wise, it reminds me a little of a Two Brothers, but with a green cap, but sound wise, this is MUCH nicer!

Hopefully the green end cap will not lose color or chip. Does it match up well to the kawasaki green? I have never heard of this company, but the can sounds good. I am a fan of loud. I think I took loud to the extreme this time around. I feel that the police will be at my house at least once this summer because of a noise complaint. Woops

Never heard of them but it looks like quality stuff. I agree the sound is unique...not quite as shrill as I have heard from other manufacturers. Too bad they don't make a full system =)

For sure. I wish I would have realized how easy it was before I bought new headers. Now I have an old set just waiting to be drilled out for no purpose other then just trying it.

Are you getting the extra quiet insert?

I had an m4 street slayer with stage 2 baffle. Sound and looks were perfect but it lost some noticeable throttle response with the stage 2 baffle in it. Post up your results.

Hear, here, my good man.

Many link-pipes/cat delete prices are stupidly high (can you hear me, Akra?) But I found my Barcelona, Spain made Ixil for well under $100.00 ($67.95 USD). Do a little shopping & one can save a fair bit of coin.

The O.E.M. catalyser is quite restrictive (& heavy), so it's a rather prudent way of improving your ZX's respiration if you already have a slip-on, & performance air filter (I swear by BMC)
