I presume the bike fell on the same side as the high beam bulb?

First thing I would do is make sure the bulb is still seated properly in the socket, and that the power going to it is attached properly.

Have you checked out the high beam switch to make sure it isn't damaged in some way?

If you've only had the bike a couple of days, how do you know the high beam side was working properly before the fall?

Do you have the insurance info on the person who knocked your bike down? Why are you fixing this, instead of a shop?

Hello and welcome!

The filament in the bulb could have been damaged and only making intermittent contact.

Something like this may be covered by your insurance under your comprehensive coverage, rather than an accident. That's typically a much lower deductible. Often $50 or so. It's worth asking your insurer. If you have crash bobbins that got scuffed up, a bar end with scratches, turn signals that are now scratched.... in addition to the wonky electrics, that could easily go into a few hundred at a shop to make it all right.

It's sort of like an act of God; you weren't there, the bike was not in motion, no one was operating it. If a tree fell on the bike, it's not treated the same as if you crashed it. Having someone back into your bike and knocking it over is similar. Same sort of thing as having a rock hit your windshield.... 99% of the time, that's not considered to be your fault.
