first post and new bike (05 636), need some advice

hey all, ive just bought a new bike, had a GPZ500 for my first bike and now bought a gleaming '05 ZX6R 636. It's got smoked indicators on the front, double bubble screen, tail tidy but got the stock indicators on urrgghhh, and its also got the ZX6RR lower panels to make it all green.

Basically just looking for some advice. Obv want a new zaust so was looking at the Yoshimura RS-5 and Im wanting to go for a Green/Black look so was gunna go with the carbon can, also full system or slip-on? Im in the UK so when I have my MOT (yearly check) i will prolly have to switch to stock to get it through right Also when I do get a new zaust do I need to dyno the bike and get the fuelling adjusted?? And do I need a Power Commander for that?

Also tail tidy, wheres the best place to get one? I've seen a really nice anodised black one with ZXR laser cut into it on one of the bikes on this site. And any UK guys been cheeky enough to try and get their plates in behind the back wheel or tried mounting them on a hugger or suchlike? I think I might try but am unsure of the govt legislation on number plates

Rearlight, in UK is it legal to have integrated tail-light and indicators? cos it looks trick but thought our govt wouldnt like it cos the indicators are a bit too close to eachother??

Also probably going to get ASV levers in black, you know if they do the adjusters in green? the only ones i can find are black with red. And whos got a preference on full length of shorties?

Rearsets...i want anodised black, better and cheaper to get them powder coated or buy new ones?

wheels...atm they're the stock grey/brown/titanium but either want green spokes with black rims, green spokes with chrome rims, or black spokes with green rims... also how much roughly does it cost and anyone know anywhere in the south of the UK that does it?

ohhh and www.motosport.com anyone bought off of this site?? never heard of it, and it looks dirt cheap but wanted to make sure it was legit

thanks in advance for any help

Exhausts - See this thread. Slip on would be best. Unless you're tracking the bike heavily or have too much money a full system is a waste on a street bike. You can easily switch back to stock for the yearly MOT. Most pipes have 'For race use only' written on them somewhere so it won't pass unless you get lucky. You won't need to tune the pipe with a slip on but for a full system definately. It's always advisable to tune the bike if you want it at it's happiest however. For tuning you will need a PCIII.

R&G make the best tail tidies in my opinion and they're based in the UK. It would always be cheaper to make your own but some are too lazy for that. They go for function other than flash however. If you want flash go for Rumble Imports or equivalent crap. It will probably fall apart after a few months however. You can try and sneak your licence plate under the tail but I doubt you would get away with it for long in the UK! Not sure about the legality of the integrated taillights but the UK is usually stickter than Oz and they're a no no here.

ASV don't do adjusters in green as far as I know. Pazzo has just recently relased green adjuster tabs and of course there is our forum vender Ian at Cycle Control who will be releasing green tabs soon (I'm sure ). Of course it would be cheaper to get your stocker rearsets powdercoated but aftermarket rearsets are worth it in my opinion. Not only do they look the tits they're full adjustable and make riding the bike a whole lot more comfortable. I only have experience with GBMoto and Gilles but there are plenty of brands out there, Attack, LSL, Vortex etc. For the rims you would be best to get them powdercoated. It's cheap, looks good and is durable.

Welcome to the site by the way
